If a picture is worth a thousand words, video is worth millions – but you don’t need a Hollywood budget or a feature-film crew to create memorable and moving videos.

Jumping into video production can be a pretty scary thing, even the equipment can be intimidating.

This hands-on session will give you the basic knowlege and skills to select and use equipment to shoot your own professional videos.

We'll take you through a range of different cameras and cover how to set up interview shots, shoot b-roll (all the other video that isn't an interview), and sequence it.

To make the most of this workshop, bring your smartphone, iPad, or anything that has a video camera. You'll be using it to practice the skills you learn.

Our instructor is Cassidy Hodges, Talent Development Specialist for DaySpring Cards. She's a one-woman training department with a background in broadcast journalism. Before jumping into the training world, Cassidy was an award-winning Anchor/Reporter for KNWA-News; there she scripted, shot and edited videos daily. She's filmed documentaries, weddings, commercials, and way too many videos of her furry roommate, Benny.
