This class will look at the disintegration of true design in the field of talent development. Have you experienced any of the following in respect to designing adult learning solutions?
1. “We can teach anyone to design.”
2. “Design” is one additional step in a process with corresponding checkboxes to verify “design” has been completed.
3. When asked to “design” the request is “How?” and not “What?”
4. “Design” is being overlooked to rush to the other “D” (Development).
If any of these sound familiar, we want to look at practical ways every professional associated with delivering learning solutions can take back this increasing neglected letter of ADDIE. Working with real industry issues, you will be challenged to assess your current design practices through a balanced exploration of theory and creativity, both of which are required to make inspired learning solutions.
You will apply learning principles with creative practices to begin to develop your own design voice and style. Upon completion of this event, you will have a personalized tool for engaging in creative design exploration of business needs.
Special thanks to our guest speaker Christina Worrell, SPHR.
